I wanted a structured A-line skirt, and it had to be pink. I ended up with a floral one with accordion pleats that I love.
Honestly, I can be a little stubborn, especially when it comes to shopping. But I’ve realized sometimes it’s better to be open to other options so I don’t leave empty-handed when looking for a specific garment. That doesn’t mean having to settle. It’s OK to have a vision when shopping, but don’t be opposed to options that can meet the same need if you’re not finding exactly what you set out to buy.
Always keep in mind what you’re trying to accomplish by searching for a particular garment. For example, I wanted a feminine and classic skirt I could pair with my favorite white button-up from Gap. Turns out, a pleated skirt (with a touch of pink) met my needs just as well as a structured A-line.
