I started working as a Stella & Dot stylist in October 2017 after we moved from the Midwest to Phoenix. I studied fashion and journalism in college and was looking for a passion project that would fulfill me creatively but also a way to make new friends… Because to be honest, doing that after college in a new city was harder than I thought.
So, I signed up as a stylist on a whim. Thought I’d try it out and worst-case scenario, I’d end up with some free jewelry…
…but actually, the best case scenario happened. I gained a new community of friends, found a job that gives me freedom PLUS I get a ton of amazing jewelry.
COMMUNITY
This is something that for a long time felt impossible to find in a new city. But becoming a Stella & Dot stylist means being part of an amazing community from day one. My director takes time each week to call and check on the progress of my goals. I get to share my love of style with hostesses and customers. And I’ve become friends with several stylists in Phoenix and through social media.
FREEDOM
I now can’t imagine working a job that doesn’t have flexible hours. Especially since my husband’s schedule is busy some months and slow during others. I love that being a stylist means choosing my busy seasons, being off on weekends and working by the pool when I want. ;)
JEWELRY
Yep, I get a ton of free and half-off jewelry, accessories and clothing as a stylist. So, if you see me wearing and sharing a ton of Stella & Dot pieces, that’s just an occupational hazard.
