Think purple shadows only compliment green eyes? False! Blue-eyed gals can pull them off too. Shades of lilac atop blue eyes create an analogous color scheme perfect for spring—here’s how to create a soft smokey eye with purple hues:
Products used:
- Merle Norman Eye Shadow Base
- Covergirl Eye Enhancers 4-Kit Shadows in Ice Princess
- Ecotools Bamboo 6 Piece Eye Brush Set
- Rimmel London Volume Flash The Max Mascara
- Apply a primer to bare lids using your ring finger to create a smooth surface and to help eye shadows stay in place, remain true to color and be crease-free.
- Using a large eye brush, apply the second-lightest shadow in your palette to your lid and brow bone.
- Define your crease and the outer corner of the eye using the darkest hue on an angled crease brush.
- Clean the large eye brush and then use it again to apply the second-darkest shade in the palette to the center of your lid—use this shade to blend the lid and crease color.
- Brighten the inner corner of the eye with the lightest shadow, using a fluffy smudge brush, and blend it into the lid color.
- Line your lower lash line with an eyeliner brush packed with the darkest shadow.
- Use two coats of black mascara to define upper lashes.
- Turning the mascara wand vertically, sweep the wand from left to right to apply mascara to lower lashes.
Keep cheeks and lips neutral with soft pink hues, and voila! The perfect lilac-colored look to compliment baby blues this spring.
