Ah, Amazon. Is there anyone who isn’t obsessed with the online retailer these days? Lately, I’ve been seeing a ton of stylish and affordable women’s styles offered and decided to test four Amazon dresses for myself.
I styled the four dresses above although I am not keeping all of them (keep reading to see why I am or am not for each).
As a stylist, I truly believe in only having pieces in our wardrobes that makes us feel beautiful and confident. While two of these dresses weren’t right for me, I recognize that doesn’t mean they won’t be right for YOU.
Think about it…
We all have different body shapes and are different sizes, so some styles may make me feel uncomfortable but you feel amazing and vice versa.
My hope from trying on, styling and writing my honest thoughts about these dresses is that it will help you decide if these styles will work for you… Saving you the time and money of trying them out yourself and then realizing you don’t like them. ;) Keep reading to see my feedback on each dress.
The Amazon Dresses I Recommend
Amazon Dress, Stella & Dot Chandelier Earrings, Stella & Dot Crossbody, Target Sandals
1. Red Floral Button-Up Maxi Dress
This dress is SO much prettier in person and is hands-down my personal favorite of the Amazon dresses I tried! Even my friend Chelsea was surprised by the quality and Free People-ness of it. The print, color and covered buttons are gorgeous plus it’s lined. I’m in a Medium and love the fit. I also appreciate the longer sleeve length and how it highlights the waist.

2. Pink Ruffle Tunic Dress
While this dress is absolutely ADORABLE, I am going to return it because it wasn’t right for me. My body is pear-shaped (wider on bottom) and I didn’t love the way the dress sat on my hips. I’m in a Medium but feel sizing up would make it too big on top, because that part of the dress fit me well. If you have more slender hips, this would be amazing on you. I’ve seen several other people wear it and the color, fabric quality, ruffles… All perfection.

3. Bright Red T-Shirt Maxi Dress
Another red dress (one of my new favorite colors to wear!). This is a SUPER soft and comfy T-shirt dress. It’s definitely brighter in person than in the photo on Amazon, but I still love the color. The fabric is not sheer but I do wear a slip under it to smooth everything out. I’m in a Medium but could have easily sized up to a Large for an even comfier fit.
The Amazon Dress I Don’t Recommend
Amazon Dress, Stella & Dot Hoops, Stella & Dot Leather Bag, Stella & Dot Bangle, Target Sandals
4. Green Floral Maxi Dress
I loved this one online but of these Amazon dresses, it’s my least favorite by far. I knew it was high-low but find the front to be shorter than I’d prefer and it showed too much cleavage on me with its wide-V neckline. Also, if your arms aren’t your favorite feature, this dress’ cap sleeves aren’t very forgiving. Lastly, the fabric on this one doesn’t feel as high-quality as the others… Needless to say, although it’s pretty, I’m returning.
